Artist's Inner Monologue:

If the first artwork( Tranka IV) is about what i saw of my grandfather,this part is about what I heard. He never spoke much about the mines or what he had carried back from Johannesburg. But the village began to whisper. Stories travelled from ear to ear. One rumor said the trunk help riches. Another said it carried only the pain too heavy to face. And another, (the one repeated the most) claimed he had another family in Johannesburg. That’s he had remarried and only returned to Botswana after his wife took everything and left him . Crazy huh! No one knew the truth really. The ears of the village listened, twisted and retold until his silence became their story. This artwork is about those ears , ears that turned mystery into rumor, silence into suspicion and a man’s burden into a tale that outlived him.
